Description
Rear Lift: Leaf Springs — level stance front to rear, multi-leaf progressive design for a smooth ride, eliminates any need for a lift block, maintains factory payload weight ratings, reduces axle wrap for a more controlled and stable feel.
Indexing Ring: 6-Bolt kit, compatible with standard Ram 3500 transfer case bolt pattern.
Shocks: NX2 Nitro Series — nitrogen-charged twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, dual-welded ends, self-lubricating seals, silver powder coat finish.
Overview
BDS Suspension's 6-inch lift kit with 4-Link conversion is engineered for the 2013–2018 Ram 3500 diesel-powered 4WD truck. Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability, this kit includes everything necessary to run up to 37-inch tires. Up front, the kit features diesel-specific Pro-Ride coil springs, 4-Link control arms with conversion mounts, a forged drop pitman arm, track bar bracket for steering correction, bump stops, brake line brackets, and precision-tuned nitrogen charged shocks. In the rear, the kit utilizes a high-strength fabricated lift block or optional leaf springs, longer U-bolts, and a matching set of shocks.
4-Link Conversion
The BDS 4-Link converts the factory stamped steel radius arms to optimize suspension geometry for improved handling, strength, and stability. This bolt-on upgrade uses high-strength 1/4-inch steel brackets to mount HD upper and lower control arms, correcting axle positioning and limiting caster change throughout wheel travel.
Pro-Ride Coil Springs
A pair of full-length, diesel-specific, progressive rate Pro-Ride coil springs provide the correct lift height and smooth, predictable ride across various terrains.
Steering Correction
A forged drop pitman arm minimizes steering angle once lifted, paired with a heavy-duty track bar drop bracket to keep steering geometry in phase through suspension travel and recenter the front axle.
Features
- Heavy-duty 4-Link improves strength, handling, and caster control
- Front high-strength progressive rate coil springs for a smooth ride on any terrain

Important Notes
The carrier bearing drop is necessary for models equipped with the two-piece rear drive shaft. Some vehicles may require a rear driveshaft spacer kit 122007 to maintain adequate rear driveshaft engagement. Kits come standard with a 6-bolt indexing ring kit. Ram has an optional Aisin heavy-duty 6-speed transmission available in the 3500 trucks that utilizes a different transfer case mounting bolt pattern (8-bolt). The 8-bolt kit also includes an internal shaft seal extension and new shaft seal.
